ReThink Afghanistan

The Bundestag has prolonged the mission of german soldiers participating in bombing innocent people (for 20 killed so-called “terrorist leaders” 700 civilians casualties are counted) to help keeping up a corrupt government, which, of course, was not elected in a democratic fashion at all. Here you can read the full list of how everybody voted.
This backs the question, what are we actually doing in Afghanistan. First, long time foreign correspondent for the ARD Christoph Hörstel, will give us an insight on the motivations and the current situation in the region:

On the other site of the Atlantic, Barack Obama called for an increasing military presence by 30.000 men and women. I am not sure if the politicans actually have a clue, what is going on in Afghanistan, but this documentary will give you some more insight:

Last, but not least, you could even argue, that the NATO is actually chasing an enemy that doesn’t exist… and it is about resources (NABUCO pipeline) again:
